The Brokenhead Ag Society is a volunteer run non profit group that is based in the RM of Brokenhead in Manitoba. Our goal is to promote agricultural and community involvement through our events and conferences including the Progressive Farm Safety Day, 4H Partnerships, Double B Agricultural Festival and the Brokenhead River Ag Conference.
The Ag society has been around since 1917 starting with local farmers striving to help each other and local families with the rural life. During the years the society has evolved into many different branches as the agriculture landscape has changed.
The Brokenhead River Ag Conference is held early in the year and meant to bring the latest trends and information to the farmers to help them move into the future.
The Double B Agricultural Festival (formerly the "Double B Rodeo and Country Fair") is the premiere summer event in the Beausejour Brokenhead area. The sanctioned Semipro rodeo along with the Manitoba High School Rodeo provide fans with excitement all weekend in September. Along with the ag displays, antique tractors, petting zoo, parade and fireworks this weekend is full of events for all ages.
